Cast your reel and try your luck at our annual spring fishing derby. Awards for the three longest fish caught in three age categories (4 to 7, 8 to 12 and 13 to 17). Bait provided. Bring your own fishing pole. Pre-registration required -- no walk-ins. Adult must accompany child.

Join us for a Hidden Adventure at Hidden Lake! Experience some of the activities Lake Metroparks has to offer. Our instructors and equipment will be there, and we will teach you all the activities. Try kayaking, standup paddle boarding and canoeing. Take a guided trail cart ride and learn the history of the park. Propel arrows down range on our public course. Cast a line into the stocked lake or take a guided hike. Play some disc golf or a game of cornhole. This is a free event. Registration required. All equipment for activities provided. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must be registered, including adults.

Being a knee high naturalist has never been so much fun! This multi-age program includes a craft, activities, story, and hike.

Lake Metroparks is home to a huge variety of habitats. From forests to meadows, wetlands to beach, join us as we explore what makes each of these habitats unique. Each session will explore a different habitat! All participants must be registered, including adults.

While most of the world sleeps, there is a whole ecosystem that springs to life when the sun goes down. Join a naturalist as we explore nature after dark and search for signs of wildlife. Each program has a separate theme. All participants must be registered, including adults.

Take a hike with us! This educational hike is designed for us to explore the parks together. Children must hike on their own feet for one hour. No strollers permitted. Weather permitting.
$5 for one adult and up to three children

Experience some of the activities available at Hidden Lake! Explore the wetland trails on a hike, practice your archery skills or paddle around the lake in canoes. Sign up for as many activities as you like!

This is an introductory archery experience for individuals with disabilities. We will go over safety rules, how to handle your bow and arrows, then do some target practice. All equipment provided.

Scenic Trails are now accessible to non-hikers! Climb aboard our trail carts to explore the parks and nature's wonders. Designed for individuals with limited mobility.
